What Is Mabon?
One of the ancient holidays on the solar calendar, Mabon is another name for the Autumnal Equinox, when the sun hangs in the sky just on the verge of beginning to drop lower and lower as winter approaches. It's the time of the great harvest, when the year's hardships and toils turn to abundance.
